Friday afternoon: mobile phone rings. It's Mick.
"Hey buddy, just up at Firebrand, saw your bike".
"Mick", I say, "I was there this morning and saw your brother's bike."
"What do you think?"
"Mick", I say, "tasteful without being gaudy".
"Damn", says Mick. "Needs more bling."
Mick's brother Roger was the chopper pilot on Wrong Way Down. We all thought this was hilarious. "Roger, Roger" we would say on the radio when we had to confirm something. We thought that we were very clever and that Roger would never have heard this joke before. And Roger demonstrated his patience and love of humanity by not dropping burning avgas on us when we did this.
A bus driver decided to use Roger's Suzuki Hayabusa as a side ornament a while ago.
"I didn't see him", he said. "He came around the corner at a million miles an hour".
An alert police officer inquired as to how the bus driver could estimate Roger's speed if he didn't see him, and the driver admitted that there was, indeed, a slight logical inconsistency in his argument.
But, in the end there were parts of the Hayabusa that needed replacing. Roger took the it to Firebrand Motorcycles at Artarmon, perused the menu, and selected his requirements.

Roger is being lobbied to lend his bike to the BIKE ME! stand for forthcoming motorcycle shows.
If you see this motorcycle in your travels, you should buy the rider a beer and explain the importance of this initiative.
